Injectors and Turbo

This thread has sparked my interest. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156368&page=1. I do not have all my prep work done yet, but I am putting a SB clutch, 4" Magna FLow SS exhaust, Smarty, and the turbo and Injectors are up in the air. I want to replace my turbo to get more air flowing and was curious if I could run bigger injectors without having to worry about EGTs. I was thinking about the m4's and either an htb2 or SPS 62. I normally pull 5000- 9000 lbs, but have found myself pulling 10,000 or more lately. I want to push the power all the way up and leave it alone and not have to worry about EGT's. Is it possible with that combo or what turbo would I need to run m4's or should I just stick with 1. 6's which was my original plan. On the Turbo I would like to stay with a single, not interested in twins. Another question is would any of those combos cause me to have head gasket issues from high pressure. I am not wanting a fire breathing dragon, just a good running dependable truck that could put most of the Fords in my area in their place, if I wanted to. :-laf

I have a truck pretty close to yours and I would say get the SPS 62. Don m is making me a set of mach 4's and I tow 6k on a daily basis. The 62 does a fine job of keeping things cool and was told heat will not be an issue with the sticks in. Being a manual you might get away with a 66, but I've heard of surge issues. Call Industrial Injection and they will guide you right. Great company and great products :)

Well...

I have gone down this road some, there are so many choices it is truly hard to sort it out. I wanted to keep my $$ as low as possible, by not engaging in alot of trial and error. Check some of the links below, that I have been involved in.

I have a similar set up to what you are wanting on my 01. 5 HO. I have DD supermentals, comp and an HTB2 62/12. With the box off or on power level 1( timing and minor fueling only) I have no EGT issues max is like 1250. I have towed up to 10K doing this, granted it was on flat ground. Towing around 7K I was bringing a truck back from southern part of the state and had with the box turned down, I could do whatever I wanted with the truck and no EGT issues. Both II and HTT make great products, I just think the HTT stuff is a a little more reasonable $$wise. PM me for a quote.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that this combo would work. I just want to do it right the first time. Thanks again for all the replies.
