Try not to **** them off, i'mp icking my truck up today and i'm trying to all my parts back. the last thing i need is to have them damage or get rid of the parts i'm going to need to put this truck back together.

i'm having it towed to montville, where it will be worked on.

i'm looking at over $4,100 in repairs

So there's your email address.

Another idea: people who look up Holley Dodge on google will probably always get the main site first. But it sure would be nifty if the SECOND result was titled something like "FRAUDSTER ALERT: Holey Dodge" [sic]

I suggest that somebody put up such a webpage, post the url here, and that TDR members with websites link to the page. Maybe put it in their signature. Get the referral stats up, and you might be able to accomplish the goal!

Easy guys.

Please respect what Firehunter said and DON'T **** THEM OFF!

They HAVE READ these posts and if it goes to litigation i'm sure they will bring up the fact that this has been discussed on the TDR. This may further complicate getting a satisfaction with the warranty. They know already TDR is ripped at them by reading this. (it's not like this is a private site here).

Remember lawyers will look at all angles to try to disparage the complaintant and this post (which I'm sure has already been printed by Holley) may do some damage.

I got an ear full when i show up there yesterday to pay them and have truck towed. The piont they wanted to press was that the blame should be placed on Chrysler and not holly dodge. The tech took this personally, I told him that i don't blame him and that it's a corporate world out there and the little guy gets the short end of the stick. lets back off holy dodge and be done with this.

The latest is that i have gotten NO were with dodge or chrysler. My truck has left Holly dodge and is being fixed in montville CT. They are to start work on monday the 17th. After they look at the truck and heard the story they couldn't believe that a Pac Brake would do this damage. They are also confused what the problem may be because the cylinder walls are perfect. so that rules out broken rings. they are going to pull the pistons and let me know.

On thing i do know is that i will NEVER buy a Dodge again, no matter whats under the hood!! :(

Hope they can give something to go back @ DC with to make them pay. I don't blame you for your decision - really sticks.

Well, there is an end to the problem. part of me wants to be sick and the other part is happy the problem is solved. After all this BS, the Cummins certified mechanic took all the pistons out and check and recheck all the number of the pistons and the cylinder walls and all where perfect. (go figure) So they put the truck back together last friday and they call me yesterday and told me the problem was a bad vacuum line between the Pac brake and the engine. :--) I should be picking up my truck today. I will give details at the seafood festival. Anyway it just amazes me two dealer couldn't find the problem. The part to fix the problem was under ten dollars. Now the battle is to try and get my money back. like i said i'm just happy if done with , but i think this took a few years off my life with all the stress it caused.

Thanks for all the advice and support guys, I really appreciate it all. It's nice to have a place where we can talk about these things and not be left in the dark.

What good is a warrenty?

Well glad that your getting your truck back. Sorry you went thru all that you had to go thru. I'm sure there are some qualified dealer mechanics out there, but how do you find one. I have been following this thread with great interest to see how Chyrsler was going to treat you. I don't blame you for not wanting to buy another chyrsler vehicle. It just seems to me that now the problem has been taken care of by another shop that because of your dealers miss diagnoses they should anti up for the labor cost of putting your truck back together. We will be watching to see if this happens, but I'm afraid you may have to sue them in small claims court.

Good Luck

Firehunter - you know I just realized after reading GFrance's reply that we've all gotten pretty caught up in your dilemma and become so irate with the way DC treated you we've forgotten (at least I did) to offer our apology. Not that we had anything to do with it, it's just that is s*ks you'll have to small claims them and hope for the best. Best wishes and glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery. Stinking hose caused a great deal of grief. It's not even my truck and I'd like to stick the hose where the sun doesn’t shine in DC land. Hope you get every cent you put out back. Thanks for sharing and please do keep us posted.
