Need alt for a Chevy truck/4bt - Please help

Just added fans and A/C to truck, I need a high output alt for the chevy wiring that will work on the 4bt with the 8 rib serp belt. Basically looking for a Chevy alt that will accept the 4bt alt pulley.

I took the 8 rib pulley off the dodge alternator and put it on my one wire ac delco alternator. Maybe you already tried this.

The 8 rib pulley I have is on a delco remy that has a very big shaft. It came with the cummins from Cummins - I think. Today I tried to get a 140 amp chevy alt (CS144?) and the pulley wouldn't fit.



So, a dodge cummins pulley may have a smaller id that would fit the chevy alt.



Does anyone have a dodge 8 rib pulley I could buy off them?

You could also go to your local auto electric place, the place you go to get alternators & starters rebuilt. They should be able to fix you up with anything you need, you could get a pulley for the chevy alternator, or they could modify your cummins alternator for more output.
