I've been into a discussion on GM-Diesel.com under the Duramax/Cummins/Powerstroke Quality thread. Someone there is insisting that the 48re in 05 is NOT a tow/haul mode trans with gradual braking. That it ONLY locks out o/d. I stated that use to be the case but in 05 its a TOW/HAUL mode now and no od lockout. Granted it does not have all the features a Allison or Torqueshift does but it does offer progressive braking etc. 'HE" swears his driven a NUMBER of 05 Dodges and that I'm full of do do. I did a search here on TOW/HAUL Mode and wanted to cut paste it or link it to the G. M. Diesel.com site but can't figure out how to make it happen. HELP! Or someone link for me etc.

I'd be happy to scan the page right out of the owners manual for him :D I looked on that site and can not seem to find the thread to post on. Maybe I am just blind but. . if you give me specific directions or a link I will try to help.

I have a jpg image of the page. The TDR site, as usual, says the file is too large (150 kb????).

Email it to me and I will host it on my site

Thanks guys. Colorado Dodge who use to own a D/Max posted the info. I had been reading that site for months. I read many sites. Then several posts/threads poped up their with some really poor info and facts. I could'nt take it anymore and signed on the site. Some of the info they were posting about 3rd generation Dodge trucks was like comparing a 05 D/Max to a 5. 7 or 6. 2 G. M. diesel. once I mentioned the Tow/haul feature etc. I was FLAMED. Wasn't being a troll about the D/Max just trying to state the truth about specs etc.
