Exhaust Brakes

i guess as far as the trailer goes... . i would think more of needing it on the maintenance side of it if you are only going to be using it on your property but having a trailer is ALWAYS nice to have around to move things..... it is common place for many backhoes to be on a 24k dual tandem axle gooseneck or even tagalong ... this truck will have no problem pulling and STOPPING once a brake controller is installed... . take the time to do it right... if i was in your neck of the woods i would certainly do it for ya just to pull somethin heavy!! :D :D :D

The only way to somewhat safey tow that Hoe with a 2500 is with a gooseneck on a 10 ton min trailer. Never should that thing that size/weight be towed by pinlte hook that truck. It is just to small. Any trailer that is rated to tow that load is 4000+lbs. They are set up with the axles towards the rear for safe handling. wwith the 15000 lb Hoe,the correct tonque weight for the 19000 load is 1900 lbs. Imagine a 2500 with 1900 lb tonque weight,LOL. If you go light on the tongue, the trailer will sway, and be difficult/impossible to tow.
