Off Roading Need CJ5 Carb

We've got a '66 CJ5, dad picked it up for the 30th anniversary for ma, kind of our run around/ farm jeep. Pretty cool except its pink, factory color ( think they call it salmon or something). Anyway, its got the little Hurricane 4 popper in it, you know the one you can hang a handle on and fit it in an overhead on the airplane, and it just has never run quite right. Already put all new ignition, fuel pump, and a bunch of other parts. Think its down to the carburater. Anyone got a source for a new carb, not a rebuild kit, but a whole new thing.

Are you trying to stay original? If not you might think about a Weber. Redline Weber seems to have a kit for just about every jeep back to the '50's. Dealt w/ them a few years ago and they were great.

I ran a two barrel Rochester on my CJ and it worked really well.

No experience with the I4 but I've got my second project I'm working on for someone that needs a carb. This one and the last one are the I6 258 2bbl. The last one I got from O'Reilly's and had to get a second because the accelerator pump only shot on one side. Will probably get from Napa or elsewhere for the current project.
