Need code help on Turbo Timer install prob

Yesterday I had my local stereo shop install a Turbo timer shutdown module while they did a full Sirius stereo system install and now the timer is causing codes.



The way it works is just like the purpose built units for the Dodge, Turn off the engine and remove the key and then the timer kicks in and counts down and shuts off the engine. As soon as you turn off the key and remove it the check engine light comes on and these two codes are the result.



We assume it is related to the key security chip but are not for sure. I even called my local dealer and he said he could not look up the code without the vehicle being plugged into his computer.



The truck is a cummins equipped 2500 4 X 4 Quad cab swb 2004. 5



Can someone tell me what these two codes are? I think there were some zeros in front of the actual number like 00243 etc

Thanks for the info but not the answer I was hoping to get. Sounds to me like something is going on other than the secutiry codes I was hoping for.



I dont know what else we can do to address those codes. Yikkes

Did the stereo shop sell you the turbo timer? what brand?

Geno's Garage has a turbo timer for the Dodge Cummins that is a plug and play.

Yes they did sell me the unit and have already told me if we cant get it working there is no charge. It was for cars and only $100. I have already contacted Genos in the event this one cant be made to work properly.



I dont recall the brand it was just one of those fast and the furious type deals for turbo cars.

I just installed a BD engine cool down unit in my 2004. In the instructions they had an aditional wire that had to be ran on 2004 1/2 ( 600) trucks to the electronic waste gate. If you have a 600 this may be your answer on the waste gate. I can not help you on the fan code,
