I have a friend who needs a complete pump off a '90 model (preferrably), 'VE' style pump, as his rear bracket came loose and the pump housing finally broke at the mounting ears. Let me know if anyone knows where we can find him one... . Thanks. :)

I checked them out, and don't see one for the Dodge yet, but will keep looking with them. If anyone knows about another source, let me know. Thanks.

Heck all those were $500!!! Just keep checking the tdr classifieds for when a guy changes his VE out for a P-pump. Before I gave 500 bucks to an ebay dealer, I'd give the $1000ish+ to a reputable shop PDR, Scheid for a NEW one. Or send mine off to be rebuilt by said shop.

The problem with his pump was that the housing broke at the front mounting flange due to the loose bracket at the rear, and it costs a lot for a pump housing. He'd like to find a good used pump, or a rebuild if possible. Thanks.

ve pump

Couple of things that I would mention. Have you tried to make a large washer sort of plate to go in the place of the washer on each of the three mounting bolts that would perhaps grip the body of the pump so you could get going. I am guessing the outer pieces are lost but you could make something to take their place. I have done such on a tractor once. Takes about four hands to get everything in place and tighten the bolts. If that were possible along with getting the back end of the pump supported, you just might be able to keep on trucking.

I have a complete ve pump that is a take off from a running engine. It was not in a Dodge. There are some slight differences in the way the fuel is piped to the pump. I believe that you could change those parts from your pump and get going. I have a contact that can tell me for sure. I will check that and PM the result. I have a pump that is Dodge that needs a rebuild as it will not push fuel at pressure. I really don't know what is wrong inside. You might take yours and it and make a good pump. You would still be paying a pump shop charge.

Or you could PM your email address and we will continue there.
