What is your tested I.Q. ???

test

In round numbers, 61 cubic inches = 1000 cc or 1 liter. Therefore, a 6 liter engine would have 6 x 61, or 366 cubic inches.

Thanks Guys! A guy on ebay has some military surplus 2 cylinder air cooled engines for sale. They are 16 cubic inch disp. The gov. rated hp is 3 hp. He says it is more like 10hp. At 262 cc's, I don't think that they are 10 hp. Kinda neat engines, he wants $135. 00 ea plus $35. 00 shipping. Anyhow,I wanted to convert to cc's to get an idea how big.

Bob, I saved that table you posted... Handy!... Chris

i don't like remembering formuli much, but it's pretty easy to do the ci to cc conversion.

as all of you [should:confused:] know, one cubic inch is 1"x1"x1". .

same goes for one cubic centimeter @ 1cmx1cmx1cm. .

well, if one inch is equal to 2. 54 centimeters, then one cubic inch is equal to 2. 54cm x 2. 54cm x 2. 54cm which comes out to 16. 387064 cubic centimeters. round that to 16. 39 for something that can be remembered a bit better and punched into a calculator a bit better and you are good. that number will work both ways= for comverting cc into ci and ci into cc

eg. .

350ci = ????cc

350 x 16. 39 = 5736. 5 cc. close enough to call it 5. 7 liter.

2. 2 liter [or 2200cc] = ???ci

2200 / 16. 39 = 134. 22818ci. close enough to call it 134ci
