Need diesel mechanic

I need to find a mechanic in Tucson that can work on my 2nd gen 2001.5 diesel. Detailed info in my signature. I'd been using Desert Diesel (Frank Pfeiffer) but he's now working alone and only does one man jobs on the diesel engines. Anyone have a recommendation?

My current need is to replace the in-tank fuel pump (or at least clean that filter). This was put in by the dealer as a recall when the truck was just a few years old when Dodge figured out that the lack of a pusher pump (which Cummins warned them not to do) was killing expensive VP44 pumps that were still in warranty. I have a Westach 16 psi gauge that used to be pinned except at WOT, but now drops below 10 psi. It is probably just debris in the pump filter since there is never anything caught in the fuel filter. The seal on the top of fuel tank where the pump mounts leaks when I fill the tank completely - makes a mess until the level drops. Dropping the tank is not a one-person job. Thanks in advance.

I disagree. I've dropped my tank three or four times by myself, and reinstalled it. I've always done it outside in my gravel driveway. I did it once when it had about 15 gallons of fuel in it but the other times I planned ahead and drove it down to just a few gallons. If you don't have a tool box or hitch rails in the bed it is easier to loosen the passenger side bed mounting bolts, remove the driver's side bolts and tilt the bed. You might need a hoist or another person for that.

Same here, I dropped mine three times alone in my shop. Not a big deal.

Add another user who's done it solo... Even if you don't want to do it yourself you don't really need a "diesel" mechanic for this. Any competent shop could handle it.

I've also dropped the tank in mine by myself. Not fun, but not difficult.

Thanks all for the comments. I realize that a diesel mechanic is not needed for the fuel tank job at hand, but if I'm going to establish a relationship with a new shop for the tank, I'd like the shop to know their way around diesels for other work.
