Does anybody have the female plug for the factory driving light's on an '01 SLT! I've been trying to find some and either can't or knowone get's back to me with an answer! All I need is the female plug so I can tap it into my existing setup. Thank's :)

Sounds silly but do you have a "Walk on site" Junkyard where you can cut and snip one. Most yards don't let you go ' Shopping" then bring stuff to the counter. The only reason i ask is if you ask them for one otherwise they will not seperate the plug from the harness as they can sell the harness complete. (Which from D/C is 119. 00 with relays and factory switch.

If...

1. Its the same as on a '96

2. We're talking about the same plug

then...

Rockauto.com has them(where I got mine) and I have also seen them at Advance auto parts in the lighting section, with a heavier wiring harness than the ones I bought from rockauto.

Hope that helps. Are you making your own version of a 'britebox'?

edit: I couldn't find it on rockauto for a '01, but they have it for the '96. Does your truck use 9004 bulbs? I think it would work. Here's a few links. Also, my brother says he bought one at Walmart a few years back when he built his 'brite box' thingie.

Beach,

Sorry I misunderstood which connector you needed. I always get the male/female part of the connectors mixed up. Dorman products (motormite) has the plug part #85855. Go to www.dormanproducts.com and put the part number in the correct search and it shows what I ordered. This is the company that most auto parts chains get the hadware, electrical, HELP section items from.

I ordered two through Checker Auto Parts awhile ago. I am putting 881 silverstars in place of the foglights, but the stock wires need to be extended. I tried to find the other end to make a plug & play harness, but no go.....

Rockauto.com does show the part number, you'll have to check availability.

Thank's Silver Ram!

Hey Silver Ram,

Just wanted to say thank's for the great information! That's the part I've been looking for! I ordered 2 and should see them friday. Hopefully I can get these driving light's working after 8 month's of sitting in my bumper doing nothing. Thank's again! :D
