Cummins 6CTAA8.3 in a Ford Truck

Ford "Reverse Rotation" Dana 60 Bolt Circle?

well... .

i decided to do a 6bt in a flat fender. i have a 64 already and have done a lot of measuring. it seems it would fit in with no fan between the stock radiator and firewall. i am planning for a winter project.

i would like to find another truck so i have two for converting and build them side by side.

one would get a 300-6 ford motor though, just for fun driving. the cummins powered one has a hidden agenda(top secret).

anyone know of a pw or two sitting in any state around wisconsin???

thanks,

grizz

well, i have been checking every thing i could find on the intenet. all i have been finding is runners which are worth too much for me or completely junk ones and the owners still want too much.

i hope to find a fair bodied one with a tight motor or missing drivetrain. all i need is a body and frame.

i am not going for a "total" restoration, i just want to build a "rusto" rod for trail running and pastime driving.

m-37's are a little too big(although shorter) for what i want.

thanks for the answers so far!

That is exactly the project I want to start in a couple of years... (economy upturns... I get more money... buy new truck... sacrifice my old one)

I think I will stretch the nose 6" to give more room for radiator and IC.

I plan on dropping the PW body on my frame... and making the cab a 4 door.

I am interested in any measurements you have.

I have seen some owners manual type PW measurements, and those closely match my pickup, but the area front of the cab is unknown.

Keep us informed.

I've got a couple of m37's sitting in my yard, one is going to get the 6bt/6isb or some such, eventually.
