Hello all. This is only my first time posting so here goes... I have been surfing these boards for quite some time, but I finally registered, money that is well spent in my opinion. I own a 97 4wheel drive dually 5 speed with 98k that I want to bomb, just a little ;) What I am looking at doing is a tst#10,3k gov spring kit, and for now the larger housing for the hx-35. I know I will need a new clutch sooner or later( I bet it's sooner) Just curious of what I will be able to expect for rwhp.

Thanks

Trust me, with just a #10 plate you'll need a new clutch. I just changed mine last weekend. I also installed the 3K gov spring kit at the same time. I'm also running the 370 marine injectors.

What part of Texas are you in? If your near Houston, we can hook up and you can drive mine to see if you like it. The #10 is a pretty hot plate so your thoughts on the turbo mods could be correct. I'm saving up for Piers' HX-40. Haven't heard of one breaking yet.

When the clutch seats itself, I plan on putting mine on a dyno. I'll report the findings when it happens.

I live in Lockhart, about 35 miles SE of Austin. That would be great if we could meet sometime, never been in a bombed real truck... Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you a member of the Texas chapter of the TDR. If so when is there going to be a ralley.

Texram,

I'd expect you to to have 340-370 rwhp with #10 and 16 housing depending on where you have your plate is positioned.

Feather on the throttle though, until about 2000 rpm if you want your clutch to last for a while. Also, get rid of your cat(and replace muffler if you can afford).

Garry.
