Hi Folks,

I need a replacement grill as a piece of ice wacked and cracked my brother-in-laws on his 2002 CTD. Honeycombs ok, but frame is damaged. Anyone have any aftermarket sources or are we stuck with the stealer ?

Thanks,

Ron

Someone posted that a regular e-Bay retailer puts then up for sale.

Here's a place to try. Prices are good. Never ordered from them, but also looking for the same piece after hitting a chrome deer (shopping cart) in a dark grocery store lot.

Chrome deer, I like that :-laf

Ron, When I looked at my grill combo I noticed that the grill has some melted plastic tabs that hold it in place, or maybe that was the honeycome part , not sure, take a look at it and see what it will take to replace that  May have to use a sodering iorn to free the old one so to make room for the new???

cheers, Kevin

Ebay

I don't know what the full deal is... . but someone is selling front grills on Ebay pretty cheap:rolleyes:

Ebay Grill

I replaced my stock OEM chrome grill with a OEM black grill. I was going to list it on Ebay, but there are so many cheap ones (they say they have 500). I guess I will wait till they are all gone. They must be after market, new one sell for over $300. 00, I think.

I just got off the phone, ordered one of those grills shown on eBay, but I called the number on the auction, & bought it outright, $60. 00 shipping included. The seller did say they were the same quality as original, but they didn't have the little plastic Dodge emblem in the center. They have the indentation, but no emblem. He said the Dodge dealer has or can get the emblem for about $5. 00, & they cement in. Not a bad price, mine has taken a beating from rocks & stuff, plus the chrome is bubbling up in three places. A used one from a junk yard would cost twice as much around here if you could find one.

("Ya get whatcha pay for!" ... ... ..... We'll see I guess).

I'll try ordering from them as well.

I guess one can always use the honeycomb from the old grill to cover the holes in the bumper?

I bought one of these no-script, aftermarket grills for my 93. Be super careful as those little plastic ears on the cheap grills seem to fall off if you even look at them wrong. Mine eventually cracked worse than the original Dodge part so I put the old one back on when I sold it.

Grill Shell

OUCH!!!!! This really HURTS. I just got back from the dealer with a new grill shell for my Y2k 3500. Mine cracked right at the upper left corner. Anyway, this grill is really THE grill rather than a shell. You can't get the surround by itself or the honey comb parts separately, the whole thing comes together for $303. 85. :--) I almost had a coronary right there. I wish i would have read this first. I'll try to take it back and check out the e-bay stuff. Man, I knew I shoulda checked with you guys first.
