Need Fuel Tanks from a Class 8

I'm looking for a couple of used side tanks so I can run biodiesel and waste vegetable oil year round. Are there junkyards that specialize in that? I checked ebay and only sporadically will I find a matched set. I would prefer aluminum so I could polish it up. Any ideas?

There is a place not far fron me, in Silvis, IL. Don't have any idea what the freight would be, though. The tanks aren't that heavy, just big and awkward. I know they have fuel tanks around.

find a local truck salvage yard,you can expect to pay 1. 00 per gallon capacity for steel fuel tanks,aluminum will likely cost twice that. realy just depends on the yard you deal with. most will give a better deal if you pay cash. also, find one with fuel in it if you can!

About a $1. 00 a gallon has been what I've been seeing on Ebay.

There is a junk yard in Harrisburg, on the Lemoyne side of the river on interstate 83, they have nothing but class 8 trucks, all shapes, sizes and brands. I can't remember the name of it or I would post the # for ya, I will be going by it this weekend and I will post it then.

Headshot zod The place NUTNDUN was talking about is part of Hennery's truck stop I don't have a number for them but it is a big yard.

If you find tanks in this area I will try to help with transport because I truck to NJ. almost every week. From I 76 up to Port Newark and on up to NY.

My Dad has one 80 gallon tank he's not using and I have the matching one. He is in Newburgh, N. Y. area, if you are interested, PM me, if not I'm sure he could find another set for you.

make sure you get brackets and straps when you get tanks! i have a set of 150 gal tanks for my truck,the brackets are hard to find and they charge you plenty for them!
