Thanksgiving joke

Dual VCR recording woes...

A good friend of mine bought a 1985 380SE (V8) from an elderly client of mine here in Calif. He took the car to his home in SETAC area of Wash. state. His wife has loved the car. Long story short, It looks like it somehow lost a cam tensioner/Cam chain timing and it looks like the pistons kissed some valves.

Any of you guys work on these or could recommend someone GOOD and HONEST in the Washington area? I know that if I lived up there that He and I would tear it apart ourselves. I have known him for 30yrs.

Any help appreciated!!! Chris

Hey Chris, the guys on the Northwest Bombers really respect the work of Mike R, you may want to PM him and see if he knows the right guy to help your friend. Just a thought.

Motorhead... off topic... you ever use Kruz / Lucas in Modesto VERY good shop but slow [very busy] if they say 4:00 plan on a wait to pick up LOL... . always do to factory spec. work and MB parts whenever available... Co-Owner is a MB Diesel freek also. .

willyslover, Always have done my own work... That is the only way I could afford to own a MBZ. I'm in central coast of Cal. I have a few shops here that I recommend my customers to if something wrong with their car is out of my league. Chris

Chris, sorry but I have never been into the V8s in the mercs. Most of the work I do is on diesels anymore. I took a job on an inline 6 gas motor that had been imported and emmisions certified over here that nearly cured me of working on merc gassers, I had a really tough time getting it running right. Once I buy the tech manuals for them I spent all the money I made on the job. Diesel work suits me better.
