Need help buying a sled

The F7 or zr900 may take her on the lake ... maybee I dunno I had mine @ 117 and was scared poopless of a rift so I let off as two died the week before on that same lake.

no, the F7 hits about 70 and then dies. the fastest on the trail i've had it at was 96mph, and on the lake 98. i'd definately like to try the rx-1, or some 4 stroke with some real power (especially with one of those bender turbo kits). i heard two piped rx-1's before and man did they sound good!



btw, THIS SUCKS. all the snow up northern maine and new hampshire is gone and/or very icy. it feels like summer out there today #@$%!

I bought an 03 F7 Sno Pro Christmas Eve, and am really liking it so far. It has plenty of power for my needs, and I've scared myself on it a couple times already. I've had it almost to 100 before running out of room, but it feels like it would be good for at least 110-115 if I could find somewhere to try it. That won't be happening soon though, as all of our precious snow is gone due to this nasty 50 degree weather. :{ I gotta get to Michigan this year!

Umm... Matt... . anything over about 500cc's now-a-days will do over 100. My 2000 XC would do 101 given a long enough run!

Well I might as well chip in.



Last year I got to blast an Rev (Only a 600 though) and an rx-1. It was back in Ontario so it was only on groomed trails. Quite frankly I quite like them both. They are all pretty advanced over my old '95 Mach 1. :{



The Ski-doo platform takes a while to get used to. The seating position is quite a change but you start to appreciate it after a while, especially if you like to stand up lots as you ride. It's almost like driving a Quad. Personally I would go for the Renegade for it's versatility, but for trail riding I would seriously consider the Yami. (that engine is surprisingly sweet on the snow).



I shoudn't have posted, now I want to load up and go to Mt. Arrowsmith for a rip. Oo.

I've done about 80 or so on a sled through a fairly open trail... that was 'enough'.

dad yelled at my the first time we went to Pittston Farm, Maine (farm literally in the middle of nowhere) doing about 95mph with moose tracks on the side of the trail... . whoo, that's a rush though Oo. Oo.
