Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) need help; edge connector wiring

Going to have truck towed to dealer for no start. Went to remove edge EZ brand fuel box and the black and red wires pulled out from the smaller edge wire connector. the center green wire is ok but there are two blacks and two reds that pulled out of the small connector. They go on either side of the center green wire of the small connector and I dont know which is which way to reconnect them. I have plenty of time to make the repair since the truck will be gone for a few weeks. Thanks

the ez has a male plug and a female plug that goes in between the stock connector and the MAP sensor. i'll take a couple pics when I get home in a half-hour for you.

OK, my EZ has the newer style wiring harness that has a removable connector to the EZ box (instead of hardwired in). The MAP connector that attaches to the sensor (has the tab that you have to pull to disconnect) has three wires. If I am looking at the connector with the tab up, it goes red, black, tan from left to right. The other side of the MAP plug that attaches to the wiring harness (looking at it with the button that holds the tab up) goes green, black, red from left to right.

Good thing I have my EZ on the shelf or that would have sucked!

Thanks for the reply; This is going to be tough, mine is an older one direct wired to the box.

The female connector looking at the wire end (not the pin end) with the tab up, has left to right, RED Brown Black

The male connector looking at the wire end (also male pins) has a green in the center and ? on one side and ? on the other (2 reds or 2 blacks) this is the one that the 4 wires pulled out, the green (center wire is still there.

I may have to contact edge since my wire colors differ

If the darn thing was easier to get out this would not happened; scratched up arms and a trip to the chiropractor!



Do your wire colors match color to color if the 2 connectors are connected to EACH OTHER?

I e-mailed edge but they did not have a way to send the digital photo I took this morning that shows what I think is correct. If I knew how to post photos here I would include it for clarification.
