Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Need help from a 98 Quad, auto,12V owner

Trying to put the finshing touches on my 99V-10 to12V conversion, and I need a Vin Number, to look up the engne wiring harness, or a part number off the engine harness itself.

Sled- You gonna write that conversion up??? I hope so, because I have 2 decent 12Vs in 2 worn out trucks and 2 little kids that need doors of their own. There's v10s for sale around with low miles just begging for a convert. Please share!

Yea, if I ever get it figured out.



Things Ive learned so far:



Easier to convert a 3500 with a 5 speed.



A P-pump is easier than a 1st gen engine.



You need 2 gen 12V engine mounts for a 1st gen engine, not 24 v.







Bluthder already did one.

I am in the same boat somewhat I need a vin for a 98 QC manual because I am putting a 12 valve 6 speed into a 99 24v auto 1 ton. Anyone with a pcm or wire harness? All help would help and sorry Sled Puller I din't mean to take away any focus on your needs.

No problem here! Seems this is turning in to a common swap-throwing out V-10s... and 24 V alike.
