HI,

need help from a Powerwagon owner to get some skidplates.

I have a 05' Dodge RAM 2500 Diesel 4x4.

Since the Powerwagon is built on the 2500 chassis, well I just met a guy on the road w/ a Powerwagon and I saw it had a skid plate on the front (front suspension skid plate) and center and for the tank.

Well I tried calling my dealer to see if I can order the skid plates for my baby but they needed (of a Powerwagon) the last 9 of the VIN!

If one Powerwagon owner could be so kind and call a dealer and give him the last 9 numbers and obtain the part numbers so I can order them here would be super nice.

I would need Mopar #:

Front suspension skid plate

Tank skid plate

and if possible the crossmembers that connect the tank and transfer plates together

I have the transfer case skid plate on my 4x4

Many thanks.

:D

Think I read somewhere the Powerwagon has a different frame with all the tabbing for the rock sliders and skid plates, might not be able to just bolt up the stuff.

Agree, but I think I can make it work (if even necessary).

Better to have something that needs a bit of drilling, then something that will not fit at all.

Plus I want to order it and look at it, my dealer will do that but witout part numbers, they cant find it.

I don't know how the two compare price-wise, but Sage Carli offers a skid plate for the front suspension. Based on his reputation, its probably a top-notch product, and designed to bolt right on to our trucks.

I think that you can order one for your truck through your dealer.

My deale would have ordered for me if I wanted one.

I just got off the phone w/ Sage Carli Suspension, they have a front skid that protects the from bumper to the axel.

He said the tank from the PW will fit w/ a bit of work.

I will go to my dealer in person and see what they can find out.

I will post my results.

Thanks so far!

Dodge makes a fuel tank skid plate for the non-Power Wagon frames as well: P/N 52121265 AB SHIELD 23-034-121

You will also need 10 'Chassis Bolts'. Installation does require drilling a few holes, but this is from Dodge so I didn't worry.

Installation is very easy and does a good job protecting the tank.

The 'front' skid plate on the Power Wagon I think is the thing they put on to protect the steering damper. I would assume that will be a straight bolt on.

I personally am putting on a front receiver mount for utility and to protect the bottom of the radiator/intercooler/condensor.
