I have a Winchester rifle, octogon barrel, single shot falling block in . 22 WRF. Patented in 1879, but no model number that I can find. The rifle has a Winchester scope, A5, patented 1909. Both are in very good condition. Not mine, but I cleaned it up for a friend. I might want to make him an offer, but I don't know enough to do us both right. Any ideas?

Sounds like a Winchester Model 90. Don't restore it. Best leave it as is for the best value. Would guess somewhere around 350. 00 depending on the serial number and the quality of the weapon.

It's not a 90. I checked that out and 90's are slide action. Will keep looking. Thanks for the input. :)
