Need help identifying this hubcap please

A buddy of mine found this hubcap while metal detecting in the woods near my house. Obviously it's from a bygone era, but other than that, I don't know anything about it. I'm sure there are plenty of people here on the TDR that might recognize the emblem on it. I'm guessing it is from a vehicle produced a bit before I was, so I'd love some help identifying it. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Wow, thanks Neal. I think you might have found it. The Olds patch is what does it for me. The Ebay pic is a bit too small to tell, but if I rotate mine 180* then the shape and placement of items on the crest match those on the pic you sent. The 3 acorns is what I'm using to confirm it for myself.



If anyone else has other opinions, I'd love to hear them.

I had my friend who found the cap take a look at your find and he's on board with it. We all agree that it's a good match. Thanks a lot for your help. I knew that someone on the TDR would come through.

I agree with the Oldsmobile identification. It was probably off a late '40s Olds.
