Need help ID'ing antique vehicle frame...?

I picked up this antique car frame (diff in another thread)... the guy was just going to toss is the scrap heap. I thought it is too old and too good to just scrap it. It is really straight... no severe bends that I can tell... only a crack in one area which was repaired with a gusset on the inside.

No identifying features except for a number in an oval plate... hard to decipher the imprint.

I am going to put it on Craig's List and see if I could move it for a few bucks or some cases of beer. Any idea on value is appreciated. Any other info would be appreciated. If I can snap more photos to help you help me, please request it. I would really like to know more about this.

I have no idea what this shaft is. It is on both sides, outside of chassis about 1/2 way in the middle:

This is the only damage I can find. It is on the front leaf spring mount (I don't think it is where the shackle mounts. ) Gusset repair next photo:

Gusset repair on inside of frame. The added piece is so perfect i am wondering if it is a factory repair??? Or if the repair piece is from another like chassis.

Bottom of frame at driver's side at leaf spring mounting point. Perhaps this boss has something to do with the steering mechanism???

From a quick google image search, I do not believe it to be a Model A.

Model As and Ts use transverse leaf springs, that frame is setup for parallel in the front. I would look at Chevy or Dodge, but there were a lot of companies back then, so it could be anything. Those nice integrated front spring hangers do look familiar though.....

I was thinking model "A" also but I think the frame is to long. Also as Flexiheep noted the spring mounts are transverse on an A.

Number is 84480?

OK... found out from the fine folks at AACA that this is from a 1923 Buick... both are very much likely from the same vehicle.

Any takers... ? Will trade each for a bottle of whiskey. (LOL)
