Oil Pressure Question - Toyota

Algore vs Ted Kucinski (sp?) Unabomber

Anybody in the Baldwin City, KS area that can help me with my niece's 93 Plymouth Acclaim? It's been getting poor fuel mileage lately and now won't start... turns over, but no start. She's been taken to the cleaners by a "mechanic" there that she trusted but I'd rather not send her back there. Can anybody recommend an honest wrench in the area? I'm in TX so I can't just hop right over there and check it out.

She'll be calling me tonight and I'm going to try to get her to pull any codes that might be set and then take it from there. Just guessing here, but I'm looking at the MAP sensor or the TPS.

If anybody can help a poor college kid and an unemployed uncle hundreds of miles away from that poor college kid, PLEASE send me a PM.

Thanks,

Jim

Tell us which engine her car has in it... . for starters.

Let us know what codes she ends up with...

Those cars are incredibly simple to work on...

I'd be willing to help out as much as I can... keep us updated.

Matt - used to be a poor college kid not too long ago... now I'm just a poor working slob! :)

Oops... sorry about leaving out that vital piece of info. I believe it's the 2. 5L 4 cyl with auto transmission.

I did not get to talk to her last night to get the codes... she couldn't get to where her car is currently located. Will try again today/tonight and post info when I get it.

Thanks,

Jim

I live about 30 min from Baldwin, KS and would be willing to help with what i can. I also know that member Floor It, lives in Lawrence, KS about 25 min from Baldwin.

Thanks guys... as soon as I can get in touch with her and find out what codes we're looking at, I'll post more info.

Good to know we've got members in the vicinity.

I'd have a hard time believing it's anything major but you never know.

Thanks

Jim
