how much do u guys think a fairly new JL audio 450/4 or 300/4 is worth?? anyone know about what they sell for new? anyone have any ideas on a good place to get one? i dont wanna get screwed over. was thinking of ebay thanks guys and girls!

If you can pick one up close to new for $400, I'd jump on it. I have a 450/4 in my Dodge, it set's under the drivers seat and ROCKS. I bought a bunch of my JL Audio stuff from www.acaraudio.com. Their prices are/were better than other internet outlets, but their customer service isn't very good. My order was missing the subs when it arrived at my door. The box it came in said "1 of 1", but the sales guy claims it was shipped in two boxes. After some arguing he shipped me another set at no cost to me and said he would track it from his end. I think they just didn't get shipped.

I would like to add that there is a BIG markup in car audio equipment. Retailers, especially the bigger ones have a LOT of dicker room. A 100% to 200% markup is not unusual, and on some some "cheap" brands even more. JL is one of the better brands out there, in my opinion, and like their speakers and subs. My 450/4 has been to the shop once, part of it shorted out, but it kept working! We are beginning to see a lot of Chinese knock offs, beware. The class A and A/B amps cost more, but in a motor vehicle a 1% distortion properly would not be noticed traveling down the road.



I got the steps at a local shop, they are ICI's. The chrome on them are not the best, and the tubes are not the thickest, but the rear step is really nice. Yep, 285's. They fit great, ride nice, great off road, and carry a LOAD. I've had too big (and meaty) of tires in the past, "TIRED" of the problems they cause.

ok so get this guys!!! i took the ad to the ebay sale that tomeygun sent me in to good guys . for something crazy like 349 brand new for the 300/4 and they matched the price. i dont know y because they arent supposed to match internet pricing but they did. kinda funny it was listed at 499. thanks again guys
