Need help Looking to buy a new 03 in S. Cal

My brother is going to ordering a new 03. He is looking to find the best deal. In the Southern California area including Las Vegas. Can any one give me a reference?

bought mine at Moss Motors in riverside... . sticker 38700... out the door tax lice etc 35100... . LOVE IT. . bestest truck I have ever owned... nice guys to do business with... no games took longer to wash and desticker it than it did to purchase!!... Oo. ...

My brother ordered his truck this week . 4X4- 4door- blue- sport -long bed - lather - HO automatic. 3;73’s.

He sent out seven RFQ’s, only two replied. He went with Escondido, $36,xxx.

I didn’t know you could get an HO in California. The Dealer said they just got the ok from Dodge.

Does anybody know if it has the same H. P. as the other States?

Bought an 03 last month. Went to all the big dealers in So Cal and the best they would do was $500 over invoice. Barwick in San Juan Capistrano charged me invoice, found the truck I wanted in Northern Cal and delivered it to my house.



Be sure you go directly to Fleet Sales to get invoice price. Talk to Chris. Everything was done on the phone and they delivered on everything they said.

I just checked Edmunds.com. It is still saying that the 305hp HO is not available in California. Also the 250hp SO is not available in California. The only Cummins for California is the 235hp SO. This would be big news if the situation has changed. I used the Dodge web site also, and using a CA city as your location the site does not give you an HO truck at all.

This is the brother of REDDGE. I inquired with seven dealers and only two responded with a quote. The first quote was from the Powey dealer for the standard turbo. A second dealer in Escondido said the HO became available March 28. I called the the Poway dealer about it and he said he would check it out. He called back the next morning, Saturday March 29, and said yes they are now available so I ordered it. Model 2500, quad cab, LWB, 4X4, Laramie package, on/off road tires, 48RE auto trans, anti slip diff. , tow package and folding trailer tow mirrors for $300. 00 over invoice. I talked to the salesman the following Thursday and he said he had orders for 5 more.

Just spoke (on the phone) with my local dealer and he says that the HO's are not available in CA. Sure would like to have a definent word on this. I'm going down there right now to talk with them.

I ordered my truck on 3/24/03. It is a SO cummins for CA. I called my dealer & she said the computers were excepting orders for HO for CA, but now they were getting all cancelled. She then called area DC REp. They said NO High Outputs in CA until 2004! Bummer!

Also I ordered my truck thru San Joaquin Motors in Taft. They sold it to me $1,000. 00 BELOW invoice. This is after $2000. 00 rebate was taken out. They are pretty honest people. They don't try to hit home run everytime. They just try to move vehicles.

Am I reading this right? Was it $1,000 over invoice, less the $2,000 rebate gets you to $1,000 under invoice? If so, this is not a great deal unless you are buying off the lot. Ordered trucks are below invoice, and then you still get the rebate off that.
