California, Maine and 1 other....

Thanks for your info. Does anybody know if it has the same H. P. as the other States?

Oo.

California, Maine and one other US state that I cannot remember do not have the 305HP HO option on new trucks, due to emissions regulations. I determined this, as a friend in Germany is looking at getting a 3rd Gen. 1 ton, so the dealer location is of particular interest!!

Bought it off a lot. I didn't know that there was some other way to order it? Fill me in on the info, please.

Sorry. The other way is to call or e-mail the dealer and contact the internet sales desk or fleet sales manager, and tell them what you want to order, and let them know you are shopping around. If the dealer orders a truck just for you, it is exactly what you want and they don't need to pay "flooring" (meaning the cost of the money to buy the truck on spec and wait for a buyer on the lot). It helps to know the specifics of the order, from the Dodge.com site "build" process, or from a site like Edmunds.com where you can do the same thing and select all the specific choices you have when you order - equipment options, color, interior, tires, etc. When you order, you have to wait for 8 weeks. That's the hard part. That way the price is usually at or a little below invoice, and then you take off the rebates and the Farm Bureau discount, etc. The Farm Bureau is another great deal. If you join the FB, Dodge takes another $500 off the price.

The problem is you have to wait 8 weeks to get the truck and you can't drive your truck before you buy it. This method does not work for a lot of people who like to pick one out and drive it off the lot that day. Since you already bought the truck, no regrets. That is the way most people buy. The order process is just an option that saves some money in exchange for time. I see you are new to the TDR. This is a great site to get answers to your questions.
