Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

DRUM pneumatic blower

$15 a jug for Power Service!

gald to see such a test exists what we need is a certification process so you can get a little something for passing. if people want to cheat they can cheat no way around it.

i am pretty good with diesels, but off the top of my head, i am not sure of a few of those [like 5 & 6:-laf]

i do know what heui is, and how a hpcr injector works [coil does not lift needle from seat], and how mui and eui injectors work, and how an inline pump works [need to brush up on rotary pumps though]

now, ask me something about a gasoline engine or carburator, and i will be stumped very quickly. my only real gasser experience is when i tore down & rebuilt a ford 4. 6 sohc in school, plus some other stuff i have done on my families/friends vehicles. .

  Gas motor?  What is that? :-laf :-laf

thats pretty much my response to gas engine ?s.....

actually Im sorta kidding... I know enough to be dangerous... but otherwise diesels are my kingdom.

ditto on the 76 on the 1st one and downhill from there! what we need is more general knowledge and less engineering and theory. this is why we need out own test customized by tdr members.

-what is the main reason people get killed working on diesel engines: explosions, cuts, burns, diesel fuel injected into the blood stream

ANother good question-

How many cylinders does the Cummins diesel in the Dodge Ram have? (You'd be surprised how many DONT know this). How are they arranged- inline or V?

Apology

I posted the above trivia site a few days ago, and immediately the screen-name Forrest Nearing responded in a tone that suggested he was either upset because he had been offended by me or just had poor manners. On my three hour drive down I 95 from VA to NC, I asked myself why a fellow would respond so strongly? Then it hit me. I mentally tied my posting of "my hat is off to you - you are a freaking genius, MR Gump" and the screen name FORREST...

I am not a politically correct man, I could care less who I offend normally, but in this case, I had no ill intentions. Sorry, had no inclination to offend when I posted, just wanted to put up a DIESEL TRIVIA site, that had some pretty tough questions. And I highlighted how tough the questions could be.

Until the reply posting, I had not even noticed the screen-name FORREST NEARING. SO Sir, while you have many postings, I had not got into them and had no reason to slight this screen name.

As a DIESEL HOLIC. Drive only diesel, put CUMMINS in other than Dodges. All my tractors are diesel. Sorry.

I have better things to do than insult screen names on the TDR. Based on the reply, that happened, and I wished it had not. But apparently, that did happen. It was not on purpose.

FORREST NEARING, you were not in my thoughts when I posted the TRIVIA site.

I apologise.

If anyone can score 100% on these tests, the first time, my hat is off--you are a freaking genius, Mr Gump.

If you can gain a passing grade, I salute you.

If you try again and again and learn something, I am impressed.

I have a diesel engineering degree, and I did not max these tests...

92% on the first one. The other one I took about the engines... I stopped halfway cause I was just guessing at all the questions.

yea we dont need anything that is even close to that technical. We need the general knowledge that is learned on this site. You dont have to be a genius to build and work on diesel engines. however most people think they know more about diesels than they actually do b/c they own a tractor or their dad has an old powerstroke that has 900hp stock.
