I am leaking oil behind the vacum pump inbetween the vacum pump and the power steering pump. Can I get a seal for the vacup pump? Where is the best place to get one if I need it? The dealer said it was not warranty Is this correct Thanks for any help Larry

Larry, do a search on the problem and u should be able to fine a place to get just the seal. Used to have to replace the pump too, but have read that there are kits out there for just the seal. Saveslike $800 !!!! This a pretty common problem and there is lot of info here on it.

Welcome aboard.

as for the warranty, I have heard that it is covered and that it is not, kinda depends on the dealer.

I did a search on this website and/or checked the TDR mag. I found a supplier for a new seal and I am pretty sure it was from a search.

they aren't expensive and easy to put in.

also, check your oil hoses at the pump. sometime they loosen some and leak.

Just dealt with that. CUMMINs is back ordered on the replacement seals. I got a replacement kit (seal plus 2 "o" rings) from a member (Tri county machine I think $24 ). Check further down the forum for '01 oil leak thread I started in early November.
