Need help on some turbo upgrades

Hey, i have a 89 w250, And was looking for some turbo upgrades, but don't know what to get or where to get it. and also can i look for a 2nd gen turbo upgrade? or the 90's models, and it work? i am also going to but 100hp injectors, and they say that it recommends a aftermarket turbo.. so can i look for like a 94 model turbo upgrade? or will it not work.. Please help

You will probably need something like the HE351 off the 3rd gens, an S360, or customized HX35 with a larger compressor to provide enough air. Will somewhat depend on how high you crank the pump up. The HX35's were some what of an upgrade but not that much.

ive also heard i will need to intercool, and upgrade intake horn(intake elbow) and maybe new manifold? Do i need to go that extreme?

Yeah, when you start pushing the fuel you will want a CAC, there is just no way to keep it cool enough without some type of inter-cooler. The manifold is cast to the head and the intake horn is not that bad. Adding the CAC will do way more than anything else.

Yeah i got to looking and the intercooler does take away the intake horn. plus i can put a bigger turbo with the intercooler without getting a horn.. i think im going to go with the hx35. to a minimum im going to get a new center cargtidge and the compressor housing and wheel. And intercool it. and maybe not put the injectors. Because my truck is getting more than enough fuel. its definitly not starving at all

I have a HE351 on my truck and +40 injectors, the 351 is better then the factory H1C but is not good enough for what I want to see out of it, as for the intercooler if your going to do the work go a little further and put in a cooler from a 2nd gen.

Ive been looking at the hx40's. You can get a aftermarket for like 250 on ebay.. but I've been thinking about keeping my exhaust part and get a compressor housing and wheel.. and just leave my exhaust part. And get a center cartridge. The super b's are like 1,400 lol
