Hello fellow TDR's

I need some help deciding where to go for some deep sea fishing!!

This is the deal I have, I am building a house, and have told my contractor that if he finishes early and we are still under budget, I will take him and his crew on a fishing trip.

There will be 8-10 of us, the trip would be 3-7 days. I have done a little research in Mexico, Cancun, Cabo, and in South Texas.

We live in Taos, NM.

Thank you in advance for all help.

It's pretty hard to beat the fishing near Cabo, and the "East Cape" resorts are hard to beat for price performance. See:

For fine fishing in a no-nonsense price performer, I like Punta Colorado. The other two are a little fancier.

I took groups of saltwater flyfishers to Loreto BC for a number of years.

Price still runs about $1300. 00 for 6 days of guided fishing, hotel room and all meals and RT air from LA.

A great value and a really neat place to spend some time! You can book through Fishing International or Fishabout in Los Gatos Caifornia.

Cabo San Lucas... ... ... ... then after fishing there is "Squid Row" and "Cabo Wabo". Don't drink the water like they say... ... ..... but that ALSO includes ice cubes and fresh salads. Don't say I didn't warn you
