Hello to all.

I have new throttle rod and do not see a proper way to remove old one/install new one.

can someone who has done this please advise?. Thanks.

Some of these had a pin where the ball connects to the rod if so you need to get the pin out first if not just pry at the ball it should pop off then adjust the new rod to the same length as the old

No pins on it. the main prob is that it is behind both of the mounting studs and no way to pry it off and dont want to damage it. and it is right next to engine.

The sockets just snap off the balls. Try a short shaft, wide blade screwdiver between the linkage and the rod ends. Before you reassemble put some lube (I use white grease) on the balls.

Today I got to work on it and got it done. after taking out battery and air tube, made it easy to get at. with the help of a block of 8x8 piling to stand on. getting off old
rod was a little bit of work. using saws all cut the old one in half and pried the ends off. adjusted new one to length and then have to adjust to the 5 inch rule. cleaned the ball ends and greased them up and new rod went right on easy. no more slop in the rod. transmission shifts like it should. the TPS will give bad signals to the trans if the rod is worn out. old rod moved front to back at least 1/4 inch.
