I need to replace my IOD fuse. It has a retainer clip which I can pull and it will disconnect the fuse from the fuse block. I can't seem to figure out how to get the retainer clip completely out of the fuse block so I can put in a new fuse.
I've had to replace mine. Trying to remember how I got the retainer out. There's a good chance I just ripped it out. The whole retainer slides out any you can slide the fuse out of the bottom, maybe? Or there might also be like a "door" you can open inbetween the tabs. I'll have to go look.
Worked fuse retained clip out with a pair of pliers
Appears that there are two pointed tabs that prevent the retainer from sliding completely out. I worked the fuse retainer clip out with a pair of pliers. The two tabs broke off but the fuse block is undamaged and I can now replace the fuse. If I want to use the retainer I can, it just no longer has a stop position with the fuse out of the fuse block.
