Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) need help w/ cruise control not working

i have a problem w/ the cruise not working, what it does is when you turn it on, the cruise light will come on the dash but when you go an push set the light goes out. an if you push on again the cruise light will not come back on. anyone have this happen? mine is an 2001. thanks also which fuse runs the cruise,an where is it located? maybe fuse is bad

Check if you have a code. Mine was acting like yours. I had a code which number I don't remember that was something like cruise voltage always too high. I was a long way from home and decided I would wait to get home to troubleshoot it. Before I made it home it fixed itself and hasn't done it since. Almost a month now.

This happened to me and what it was a vacuum line runs by the fuel filter and I guess I pulled it when changing the filter and it became disconnected under the battery on the drivers side. Hope it is this easy for you.

found out i have code 1595 speed control solenoid circuit. any one know what to do to fix this? thanks
