I just put a Edge Ez in my truck and really dont feel no difference,im not sure if it is working, not getting any black smoke and boost doesent really pick up till im tacking around 2000 rpm,is there a way to test it to see if it is working,i had a superchips programmer in my truck and it worked fine,if i really put the fuel to it i would get some black smoke and it would take off,but i was told i would get better response from the EZ,im sure i have it hooked up right, does anyone know how to test them or to tell if they are working properly,or if i need to check my map sensor maybe.

Is it a new unit?

Did you install the boost elbow? That should give you about 10lbs more max boost (from ~22 to ~32)

How are the Jumpers set? Personally, I like the middle position. No jumper defaults to the #3 (fuel early) setting.

Double check your connections again, maybe some add dialectric grease.

You should realize a 40-65 HP gain, that's SOP noticable.

Good luck,

Neil

I get a good puff if I mash on it from about 40-50 mph other than that I normally don't see alot. I definately noticed a difference on the SOP meter. :D

FWIW I got mine used on Ebay and it came without a jumper. I contacted customer service to ask about the default and the rep told me that the EZ defaults to the #2 position without a jumper. They were also kind enough to send me a new jumper :)

take off the side cover (allen screws) and you'll see it in there. Use a needle nose to grab it and gently pull it off.

The Edge rep was mistaken-- it defaults to #3, most aggressive. I verified this with Aaron at Edge and also on my own testing different combos of no jumper and multiple jumpers.

If you don't want to wait for a jumper from Edge, you can buy them at any Radio Shack for very cheap in a pack of 10 or so. Under a buck.

I already have a adjustble boost fooler on the truck, and i have the jumper on the 3rd position, which way is up or down should the circuit board be up or down

Don't know what you mean by board up/down. Look at Hohn's readers rig photos, he's got an EZ picture in there.

Hohn,

What happens with multiple jumpers?

there is no way to check the box yourself. get an RA number from edge products and they will do an evaluation for you.

Do you have the Edge MAP connector plugged in ? Won't work without it, the box has to see the boost signal.

"I already have a adjustble boost fooler on the truck,and ... "

I'd guess he means the adjustable boost elbow (the fitting that screws into the turbo compressor and bleeds off air going to the wastegate). A boost fooler would be the device that pluggs into the MAP sensor and clips the voltage (boost reading) that the engine computer "sees". I've never heard of an adjustable one of those.
