Need help with gauge install

I received my Westach gauges from Geno's Garage and have one question. These gauges are backlit with a small incandescent lamp. On the installation instructions the directions indicate the light should be connected to any circuit which is energized when the engine is running. I would prefer to hook them up with the other dash light which only come on with the headlights and can be dimmed. Does anybody know which wire(s) under the dash are the circuits for the dash lights?

When I put in my fuel pressure gauge, I popped the light out of the ashtray and spliced into the wire for the lights. Now my gauge dims with the dash lights.

I think the number 5 fuse is the one that is regulated by the rheostat for the dash lights. Tap into that one. If you do a search, you should be able to confirm this.

Duh, That never even occured to me to look at the ashtray light. Great idea. Thanks for the help.

I run five guage lights from the ash tray wire. no problems so far.
