Best Toy hauler for winter living?

Looks like I might be pulling the trigger on a new fiver.

I need a QUALITY installer for a 15K hitch.

Also with the 3rd gen Hydro Form Frames are you suppose to drill the frame, or do they just bolt on?.

Also any ideas on what I am looking at as far as cost????, including installation.

Mac

Reese does make a bolt on kit for the 2500s, I dont think it will work on the 3500, (part #50040) that does not drill or weld the frame, I have one on my '05. I went that way because I already had the Reese hitch. If I hadn't had the hitch already I would have got a B&W turn over ball with the companion 5th wheel. http://www.turnoverball.com/

I have seen them for about $1,000 for both without install. My guess is about $1500 total w/install

I got my Pullrite Super Slide installed at Broken Wheel RV in Santa Ana. They were about $500 cheaper than anywhere else and did a great job...

I run a B&W and companion. It's entirely an entirely no-drill bolt on (except the hole in the bed for the ball) hitch. I wanted a hitch that left no rails in the bed when it was out. I looked at Pullrite, B&W, and the Reese Signature series. I ended up with the B&W and am very happy with it.

If you are buying a new fifth wheel trailer check to make sure it didn't ship with a hitch. I think most do. When I bought my first fifth wheel in 1994 at that dealership off I-5 at Sand Canyon, they threw in the hitch and installation.

Call Hitch Crafters in Costa Mesa near the Orange County Fairgrounds, 949-548-3000. They have done hitches in my last three trucks and do very good work. They were able to get me whatever hitch I chose in one day. My last two have been bolted on, but they will weld if you desire. Most of the truck manufacturers now do not want you to weld to their frames.....

Oh by the way I bought a Ford, am I still allowed to post here?
