Ok, so friday night i went out and got in my truck about midnight or so, and i had just been in it, and this time, i turn my lights on, and no dim lights. The only lights that would come on were the park lights when it was supposed to be on dim, and the brights would work just fine. What in the hell is going on ??????? Ok heres the weird part, saterday morning i came outside, turned the lights on, everything works just like its supposed to, high and low beams. Then last night i was going to go get some food, hop in my truck, no dim beams again. I need to get this figured out ASAP cuz the cops with love me when i dont dim my lights for them, and this is my only vehicle right now. Thanks in advance.

You probably need to replace Mopar P/N 5269377 SWITCH, Multifunction. Check for loose wires before you buy.

Here is the basic circuit.

where is that switch located...

It's the turn indicator/dimmer/wiper/washer (multi-function) switch.

It looks like the part number has been changed to P/N 4728424.

Look here (use option 2) for price.

Well i figured out what was wrong, tore the plastic cover off thats between the steering wheel and the dash, and then went to pull the big plug off the switch when i found a violet wire with white stripe, aka the wire that runs your dim beams, that wasn't connected to anything. It had pulled out of the big plug, and didn't appear to of melted or anything like that. to i pulled the pin out of the connecter and re crimped it in there put it back togethor and it all works good!! Thanks for the help!!

As you found out, it always pays to check the integrity of the wire connections before buying the associated switch. The tilt steering wheel feature occasionally loosens connections on our Rams.

The multi-function switch also fails, with the same symptons you posted.
