I have a problem. I am riding along at about 35 to 40 mph steady. I go to push on thottle pedal and I go no faster and RPM does not change. I can push pedal up and down with no change. If i mash pedal down then it down shifts and all is fine again? Any Ideas????? Help me 2002 2500

Check your throttle linkage under hood make sure when you have pedal to floor that linkage is at end of it's travel. I know you can adjust travel but would have to look it up.

Also check make sure all your springs are in place and that the linkage connections are not binding.

Could be the Throttle Pedal Position Sensor try re setting it.

You need to either clean your APPS contacts or replace it with a new one. Dealer price is around 300. 00 but a few simple tools will take it on and off easy. Chris

This thread may belong in 24V Engine if it's a 24V. IIRC, what Kubotaboy described *might* be a symptom of a failing or failed VP44.

If I am misremembering, please tell me to push off. The last thing I want to do is cause panic and dread for no reason!

One thing that does not show a code is the speed sensor on back of OD housing drivers side. $13. 00 at Auto zone with lifetime warranty. Symptoms include: Dead pedal, no power. Speed dropping out of now where and worse. Easy fix that mimics bad VP and TPS sensor

Again is'nt this fun? What every happened to the good ole days when the worse case was a vapor lock. Keep it up folks that ole Blazer is looking better more and more every day.
