Need help with transmission sensor

Does anyone know what the sensor is that is hung off the drivers side of the adapter between the 48re and the t-case? 2 wire plastic connector.



Truck is 04. 5, ran over a stick and broke the sensor off... Lucky me

That is called the "output speed sensor", roughly $25. 00.

any problem with driving without it? Just found out after about a week I am guessing.
