hey guys,

i am kind of in the market for a new p/u earlier than i thought i'd be,

need help with a few things, i would like a 3500 4x4 6-spd qc st but...

i won't leave out a 2500 just really want the cummins/6spd/4x4/qc combo(want the nv5600 transmission (so maybe an 04. 5?))

i don't really care about leather/auto, etc. decided new over used because of the usual stuff warranty etc.

i need some info before i visit the dealer.

1. how much did you guys pay?

2. what comes with say the base package?

3. are there any(really majorproblems) with the engine/transmission/truck? Oo.

2nd option is used. :)

3rd is a 1500/hemi :{ (which is what i may have to go with) :{ :{ :(

Look into Dave Smith in Idaho this guys sells a ton of trucks because he sells for less sometime's he even buys you a airline ticket to pick up truck that's what I have been told

I've done business with both Dave Smith and Dishman in Spokane... . I think both stores are good to deal with... If you give Dishman a call... look up Rob Crosswhite... he's a nice guy and has given me a fair shake. . 877. 568. 3250. .

I'm sitting in a motel room and his email isn't on this machine. . otherwise I'd send that as well... .

Hope this some help. .

Jim

Dave Smith treated me right on my 01 2500. worked with them for over a month on getting the right truck, and getting it delivered. I flew to Spokane, WA and they picked me up, drove me to the dealership. I was on my way in 30min.

I would try looking for someone a little closer to you. Check with Tommygun on this site, as I think he cuts pretty good deals... . Good luck

Talk to Tomeygun on this forum. He'e in the St Louis area and has made some GREAT deals for TDR members (wish I knew about him before I bought). He can give you pricing that you can either buy from him or use to negotiate with a local dealer.

1. I see you are in LA. Maybe the closest place to get a stellar deal is Steve White Dodge in Hickory NC. Call and ask for an 'ebay sales manager'. Mine was Karl Zaremba. They do not bs with you, and offer a great deal. They openly offer their 'ebay deal' which is to sell the truck for dealer invoice MINUS current factory incentives MINUS half of the dealer's holdback (3% of msrp). They advertised that deal and I got it - no bs involved.

2. Do some research don't expect us to do it for you - get on dodge.com and read what comes with the base package - easy.

3. Search this site and DTR for common problems. I can tell you without even researching though, that these trucks have far less problems than the other two brands. .

thanks.

i'm not expecting anyone to do research for me, just want to know the basics. :) i am only considering a dodge product, no others.
