Does anyone out there know what would cause oil in the cooling system and water in oil besides blown head gasket or cracked head. I replaced head gasket and had head checked.
I am not sure if the Cummins has a water/oil cooler. I know that the Phord Navistar does have one. It mounts on the side of the engine and looks like a thermos bottle. In Phords, if a low silicate, aluminum compatible antifreeze (with dca) is not used, the seals in this cooler deteriorate and water & engine oil mix.
