need hose for fuel gauge install

Well, I have decided to send back my billet fuel filter cap and go for the banjo fittings and braided hose route as described by JSteiger. For those of you who haven't seen the billet cap, I was really impressed. It is one beefy hunk of machined aluminum and worth the $$ if you want to add some bling to your engine compartment. I'm not interested in bling so I am going to get the BF-LT (tapped banjo bolt $9) and two washers (BF-39351 $1 each) from Geno's and then the rest of the parts from Summit and the local NAPA. I'll post up when I get it finished. Thanks again guys.

I'll tell ya'll how I done my 01', went down to the local NAPA and got a 1/8" 3000psi rated hydraulic hose with an 1/8" female NPT crimped on one end and an 1/8" male NPT 90degree on the other. Made it 4. 5' long I used the 90 out of the straight banjo bolt looped it 3 times and tied up the access before going through the rubber firewall grommet(for vibration dampening). They can make any length hose you want. I used a mechanical guage and it sounds crazy having a fuel hose in the cab but 18psi of pressure is no match for a 3000psi hydraulic hose. Ran it for 2 yrs with absolutely no problems the other guy is still using the guage with no problems been 3 yrs now... and still he's still staring at a dry floorboard

Same thing I decided to do - although I haven't sent the Geno's cap back yet, and do agree it's a beauty.



Cstansbury, how are you going to mount the isolator?
