Compressor surge

On my 2003 ram 5.9L, it has been losing throttle response. At first, it was when I was making a left-hand turn, it would act like it wanted to stall but doesn't. Then it would start bucking when taking off from a complete stop, then run fine until you stopped again. Now it bucks in any gear and at any speed. Sometimes there is no throttle at all or there is too much. I can hear the actuator in the turbo pop when starts bucking. But lately it has been really jerky and I can feel it when the drivetrain kicks back in.

The previous owner had the throttle position sensor assembly, air heater element, the main PCM replaced and the fuel pump retrofitted inside the tank. I have replaced the fuel injector pump and the actuator, throttle position sensor assembly, in-tank pump, air and fuel filters. It starts right up with no delay, even after sitting for days. I can run the throttle and watch it rev up and then want to stall and pick back up.

When I am driving and it starts acting up, I can put it in neutral and hold the throttle at 1800 rpms. But put in back in drive and either I have no throttle response or becomes jerky. I have noticed it becomes worse as the engine warms up.

I have looked at the basics first but changing filters and adding additives didn't solve the problem. The worse thing is that it is not throwing any codes right now. I have hooked up my scanner and did the key to get codes but no codes. I have taken it to the dealer and a repair shop and neither one found anything.

I am suspecting a wire/ignition switch problem but finding something like that would take alot of digging unless you get lucky. Hang on as more ideas from others should come.

The idea would be - Stop throwing parts at it!

You need a decent software to watch all the input and output of the ECM and surround. There are so many sensors and actuators involved you cant change them all. A good workshop would go this way.
