Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) need info about a clutch

hey yall im new here... i was wanting to know if anybody had any information as to whether or not a clutch for a 5 speed transmission out of a 12 valve 97 3500 will work in my 24v 2001 3500 with a 6 speed transmission? prolly sounds like a stupid question but im really needing to know... trying to save a few hundred bucks. .

no it will not, it is smaller than one for 6-speed.

DD is correct, 6spd take a bigger clutch. Don't skimp on a clutch, even the factory ones were marginal for the HO 6spd.
