TDR Member Kenr955's trailer stolen in SC

Dutchmen 5er, Good or Bad

Can't remember exactly but I think my parents king 5Th wheel was a 95 or 96..... there were w problems with it. First, the advertised capacity of the holding tanks... ... grey was supposed tobe 40... was 27 actual... . same with the black...

The other problem was it came with 4, "D" tires rated for lower than the empty weight of the trailer!!! Had them put bigger tires on before we even bought it..... Now, if they got their act together in those areas in 2 years from then, then everything else inside is fine. Nice trailer, comfortable and not too heavy... Just be sure to look it over very carefully

I had a 92 King Of The Road and the only problem was the GoodYear tires it came with which were 950/16. 5 which are hard to come by. The tires were being recalled by Goodyear, but I didn't find out about it until I sold the trailer. In my opinion King Of The Road is in the upper class of 5th wheels. Their factory service people in Kansas will bend over backward to help you with any peoblems, which will be few if any.
