Hi all. My friend who owns a nursery supply is looking to order a new C&C delivery truck that he will then have built up with a dump bed. He told me today that he will be putting in an order for an F550 with the new Scorpion engine. He claims that it is the only C&C available to build-up that is also 4x4, which he absolutely needs.

I am trying to save him from making a mistake, but I need to know if the 6. 7 5500 C&C Ram is available with the Aisin and 4x4 ??

If anybody knows GVWR on the 5500 that would also be helpful ??

TIA

In fact, you would be hard pressed to find a rwd on a lot, had to special order mine and the dealer asked for an additional $$ for the deposit since they had never sold a non 4 wheel drive. Also The F550 only has 60k worth of warranty and the "super scorpion" is seriously detuned for the cab and chassis. Besides being a science project in how many egr coolers can be on one engine.

Thanks you guy!!! I'll pass it on... there is no doubt he will want to take advantage of the proven performnce of the 6. 7 and Aisin, as opposed to taking a chance on the F550 with the Scorpion. I am pretty sure that you guys just svaed someone from going over the Dark side!! :-laf

I'm not saying that you haven't not seen many two wheel drives, but remember the C&C uses the same axle as the 4X4, just thats is been gutted and the pumpkin's empty. Yes they are hard to find, but here in SoCal there's more of them on the lots.
