need info on pump tweaking

a friend of mine has asked me to turn the screws on his truck. i have the instructions from the TST site. is this all i need to do??any special tips you would have will be greatly appreciated. his truck is a non-intercooled 1990. it is used as a work horse,, farming and excavating business. the truck has always been taken care,,,oil changes,,filters etc. also it has an auto transmission. he's lookin for a little more seat of the pants feel with out dropping any money into it right now.

Tell your friend to go to fritz's ram page through the links and all the pump info is there. he should install a pyrometer though and they cost money. if he doesn't want to spend any money at all then leave it alone.

I agree. Don't turn it up without a pyro. The EGT's will climb quickly with even a little turn of the screw. If we wants seat of the pants. Then just rotate the diaprham 90*. It will give him fuel sooner but not more total fuel.

a boost gauge would also be nice. this will give a little idea of what he had to start with and what the improvements are netting. I didn't do this when i turned mine up a bit and wished i had.
