Interstate

My battery has been gettting weak, but I kept puttin' it off. Well, this past Sunday, the truck ran and started fine, except for one time. I went to start the truck and it wouldn't budge. It just click, click, clicked, like a dead battery. Hooked up the charger, but it still clicked. I decided that the only way would be to pull it with dads '96, that did it. When I checked the battery it was on borderline low voltage, so I went ahead and got a new Interstate Group 31 975cca $78, put it in and it fired right up. I was a little worried since I've been playin' with the pump lately and floorboarding it quite a bit:D :D :D, thought I broke something. What I don't get is why wouldn't the charger on 12v boost wouldn't create enough juice to even turn the motor over? I guess it takes more than I thought to turn this awsome Cummins over, I think that I'll use my block heater a little more.

By the way, the former Napa commercial battery was 4 years old.

I am a believer in Interstate batteries, but a few of you have boosted my confidence in your testimonials of the age on your battery

Boatpuller,

Sorry to take so loooong to reply, I'm not here too often. I see you are one of the "Rain Lovers", way to go... . The NAPA I got my battery is the one on Highway 303, near Safeway. The CCA are 25 lower than the Delco I replaced, but it works okay... Lee
