I have been telling my wife I need a new clutch for awhile now, just kidding her. Well today I had to make the call and say "I'm not kidding anymore. " Just got off the phone with Peter at SBC and I will get a new clutch next week.

It will feel good not to have a STOCK clutch and be able to turn the comp up :) .

Ya I know!!!! I held off for mine but it's the best 900$ I've ever spent. It's a little grabbier than the stock one but it still is extremely driveable. Absolutely no slippage now, even when doing burn-outs in 3rd from a dead stop. The stocker reaaalllly hated that!!!!

I know the feeling! I was coming home from work loaded heavy just this week. What did I find? On a hard pull in fourth my engine was runnin' faster than I was! I too made a call to SBC. I did manage 130,000 on the stock original from the factory clutch!!! I tow heavy and often, I credit not lettin' ANYBODY else drive MY truck!! I'm a little touchy about people touchin' my equipment. I'm going for the Con-OFE. Did I forget to mention that I just added a BD Tow Pro bought from a buddy, and that I was trying to keep up with my brother in his 3rd gen, auto, unloaded. It wasn't a drag race, (I swear officer) it was just keeping up with him!!

Looks like I'm right behind ya. Just ordered some dd3's and with the comp I know it will be too much. Thinking I should do the fully splined mainshaft while I"m in there

How many upgrades can I do or should I do to the 5 speed I got? Cause once I pull it and do the clutch I want it all done, only plan on pulling it out once.

The NV4500 has a partially splined main shaft and 5th gear likes to "work off".

South Bend, Standard Transmission, and others offer a fully splined mainshaft and 5th gear kit.

Maybe some of us could get together for a group purchase.

I plan on going with a South Bend 13" Con Ofe.
